Every smartphone company is trying to create a device which not only looks different but appeals to the public. Nokia phone maker HMD Global is trying to do this with Nokia 6.1 Plus.
Nokia 6.1 Plus of HMD Global, also known as the Nokia X6 in China, seems to be trying to make a balance between appearance and performance. It is a difficult combination: sometimes it works and sometimes it does not happen.
If you want a premium feel and balanced display phone, then it means that you will not have to pay 30,000 rupees or Rs 35,000 to get the same level of experience. Nokia 6.1 Plus gets a lot of things, which is hard for mid-end phones. I used Nokia 6.1 Plus for a week, and it thinks about the phone.
Nokia 6.1 Plus specification: 5.8-inch FHD + display | Qualcomm snapdragon 636 processor. 4 GB RAM + 64GB Storage | 16 MP + 5 MP rear camera | 16 MP front camera | 3,060 mAh battery. Android 8.1 oreo
Nokia 6.1 Plus review: design, display
Nokia 6.1 Plus has a lot of love about design. Nokia 6.1 Plus combines beautifully classic and modern designs. The phone is tough, and it uses both front and rear glass. Below there is a USB Type-C port and yes, there is also a headphone jack. The phone with similar value is not the headphone jack in the Chemoi Mi A2.
The big plus, of course, is the front design. HMD Global has cracked a 5.8-inch display in the compact body. Big Performance in Compact Form Factor Feels Like A Big Upgrade On Nokia 6.1 Plus Nokia 6
Weighing 151 grams, Nokia 6.1 Plus is quite light, its 5.8-inch display has been given. We tested Nokia 6.1 Plus in Gloss Black, but it is also available in Gloss White and Gloss Midnight Blue.
The display is 5.8 inches, 2280x1080p (FHD +) LCD panel, which has an aspect ratio of 19: 9. It is not exactly edge-to-edge display, and a little bit awkward at the bottom of the screen. There is no physical home button; Instead, you can use the on-screen button to navigate, and a fingerprint sensor can be seen under the camera to unlock the device.
The screen is bright, but do not feel color pop or vibrant. We did not have any big issue about it, and we think most people will be satisfied with the screen.
Nokia 6.1 plus also gets a small cut out of the screen, one notch. This is a Nokia branded phone which is a notch. Whether it’s a choice or not, here’s the runway to stay. Unfortunately, there is no way to stop the disturbing rungs.
Nokia 6.1 Plus review: display, battery
Spent time spent with Nokia 6.1 Plus, its Snapdragon 636 processor and 4GB RAM gave decent performance. I played some games, including Tekken, streamed YouTube videos, browsed the web and so on. Let’s be clear, this is not a phone with top-of-the-line specifications.
For pub lover, Nokia 6.1 Plus can not be your first choice. My review unit had 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of storage. MicroSD card support is also promised, which is always good.
So the interface is easy to use. Only Google Apps are installed and Nokia Mobile Support App, which lets you contact HMD customer service through chat.
Nokia 6.1 Plus review: Camera
There is a dual camera setup in the Nokia 6.1 Plus, which includes 16 MP primary lenses and 5 MP secondary shooters. In bright light, I was able to catch good shots with excellent colors and details. In low light settings, however, the photos are granulated and washed. I believe that phones are available in the market with better cameras like Xiammy Mi A2.
Expecting 16 MP Front Front Camera Camera The sulfies look good in light, but the quality falls in low light conditions.
Nokia 6.1 Plus review: bottom row
Nokia 6.1 Plus is a great device and I have no other idea about it. There is a classic appeal in the design, the stock Android approach is better than the heavily skinned OS from Samsung or Huawei, the camera is fine, the phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack, and even the speaker is also very good. While I believe there is no ‘wow’ factor in Nokia 6.1 Plus, you will not be disappointed with its performance.
